Are my problems all symptoms of a thyroid problem?
Doctor had a blood test done today because irregular periods and fatigue. I also have acne that just started last few months, losing alot of hair, trouble losing weight, mouthful of canker sores, twitchy eye, blurry vision that comes and goes. Now I’m curious, is all this related? I’ve just been ignoring it, because everytime I go to a doctor for the canker sores they just say it’s stress.
to me i think you should take a muliti vitimains.eat healthy meals and yes stress will cause a lot of your problems.but is he checking your thyroids?because if your thyroid count is low that will make you gain weught. but if you are so call dieting it will also cause your problems too. you see if you don’t get the nutrirets your body needs it goes wild.so take vitimains, eat right, stay away from things that will stress you out.good luck.
The fatigue, irregular periods, hair loss, and trouble losing weight are all part of a thyroid problem. The twitchy and blurry eyes and the canker sores (and likely the acne) are related to stress, not a thyroid. Your thyroid controls metabolism and none of the eye or skin stuff would be metabolism related.
It sounds like hypothyroidism, but you could have PCOS instead, or you could have both because the two often are seen together in the same patient. I have PCOS and also have symptoms of hypothyroidism, but since I don’t have insurance I can’t say for sure. I only know that the PCOS is causing me to lose hair, gain weight, and have acne, and the suspected hypothyroidism is making me very fatigued and generally ill feeling. Good luck:)
I can say the irregular periods and fatigue losing hair blurry vision. Can be a sighn but all the other I can not say 4 sure I have I am hypothyroid and have thsesymptoms wait to c what the blood test say. Good luck!
