Just different ways that this problem has affected you and how it makes you feel. Thanks!

I have hypothyroidism, that’s the one where the thyroid is under active. With both, you will be okay once treatment is given. You will have to go into the doctor’s for a blood test though.
I was diagnosed when I was nine years old, I just remember being very tired and gaining a lot of weight. I’ve been on my medication, which is just a pill you take everyday, nothing to worry about. Its just a small pill that has the hormone TSH in it, that stands for Thyroid Stimulating Hormone.
Once you get on medication you will start to feel better. There are many websites you can go to for more information. I would suggest seeing a specialist once you are diagnosed so that you can have all your questions answered.
Everyone has a different experience. But it’s important to have it monitored. You will most likely have to go in every year for a blood test to check to see if your levels of TSH are good. But other than that there is really nothing else to worry about.
Some people have an iodine deficiancy and that is why their thyroid is under active. So the doctor will most likely take a blood sample and just run a bunch of tests. So don’t be too alarmed if they need to take a couple viles. It will benefit you and they only need to do that once.
