Has anyone experienced miscarriage due to thyroid problems?
In specific I would like to ask for people with hypothyroidism. Did you still have difficulties, even when your thyroid was regulated during pregnancy?
Did you find your pregnancy as ‘harder’ due to it?
If you have a thyroid condition hypo or hyper you need to be monitored closely by your endocrinologist and not your Personal Dr. You will have to be regulated with medication and go for bi weekely blood tests. Its nothing that will effect you if you or the baby if you do the above.
Good Luck
I have hypothyroidism…my pregnancy was not harder…..I DID have more tests, blood work, & dr’s apts….but that’s ok…at lest I knew the kid was doing ok.
I had a stress test at the end of the pregnancy every week, blood work every month to test my TSH levels, & I got a couple extra ultrasounds….(which I LOVED)…but my levels stayed pretty normal & everything was fine!
no but i am sorry to hear that
I have hypothyroidism and I am almost 20 weeks pregnant. So far everything has been fine. Actually I have had a pretty easy time so far, no morning sickness and plenty of energy! I had my thyroid level checked in my first trimester and I am having it checked again next month for my second trimester. My first bloodwork came back with normal levels so I am hoping that the next one does. I just had an ultrasound yesterday and everything is right on track! I hope that I will continue on this path throughout my pregnany and have a healthy baby boy!
I also have hypo, im pregnant now w/my 2nd and this time around i am just having more tests done and being observed just a bit more. im 5 months preggos now & i’ve had 2 ultrasounds so far & scheduled for a 3rd in March, i see the doctor faithfully every 3-4 wks & will see her every 2 wks beginning the 7th month, then weekly in my 9th month. But as long as the tests r clear & u r monitored then everythin should go as scheduled and normally. Take it easy & try not to get stressed about the tests it will only drive u crazy. good luck!
