Symptoms of thyroid disorders

Background about the sub hyperthyroidism

Since thyroid hormones regulate metabolism in every cell in the body, lack of these hormones can affect most body actions.

Among adults, there are situations of very easy deprivation, it can hardly be told, to situations of severe shortage, threatening the very life.

Symptoms of thyroid disorders can arise from several factors expressed in two phenomena:

Under an initial activity of the thyroid and sub-secondary activity of the thyroid.

Symptoms to sub hyperthyroidism:

• Obesity

• Dry scaly skin thickened

• Edema

• Fatigue, weakness and lack of energy

• Constipation

• Low blood pressure

• Depression

• Circulation problems

• Sensitivity to cold

• Slow pulse

• Loss of hair splitting

• Anemia

• Lack of concentration

• lack of appetite and yet weight gain

• decrease libido

• Low body temperature

• Rise in blood fats and cholesterol level higher

Sub hyperthyroidism in infants:

When a baby is born with sub hyperthyroidism he should be treated in conventional medicine to not reach a state of backwardness. This is a test done routinely

The standard treatment of thyroid activity is providing a drug called Altrooksin. This drug causes thyroid atrophy thus paralyzing the gland. Naturopathy treatment should start before taking Altrooksin.

There are supplements taking part in production of thyroid hormones.

Physical activity makes provision for thyroid tissue and increases sensitivity to thyroid hormone, so it’s important to combine exercise therapy in sub thyroid activity. Also exercise helps weight loss and raise energy.

Rare symptoms of thyroid disorders

•Harassment in the legs

•Skin changes

•Changes in fingernails and paralysis in some cases.

Other major factors of thyroid activity

  • Sex

Relation to probability of the disease in women with men is 7:1 to 10:1, but the ratio of the probability of eye disease is 1:1.

  • Tension

Appearance of the disease often accompanied by emotional situations typical of a market crisis divorce, death or departure difficulties. Common case in fact violate this disease outbreak is threatening in cases of separation from which the patient depends on him emotionally.

  • Genetics

Identical twins have a 50% probability of disease if one sick sick twin and 9% if the twins are not identical.

  • Left

People lefties were as greater risk of autoimmune disease

Smoking

  • Exposure to mercury cadmium

Reducing risk factors

Stress, smoking, consumption of iodine increased, restlessness. Reducing stress factors is the single most important action the patient should undertake to reach normal gland function. Avoid any factor that can affect the patient emotionally. Rest is extremely important, including full noon and night’s sleep.

I was born withtout a thyroid gland and would like to start taking a multi vitamin, however when I tried Centrum it made me feel nauseated all of the time. Any other suggestions?

I just moved to the states 4 months ago and am looking for a health care insurance now. My job offers one, but is way too expensive with 60 dollars a week. I am looking for something cheap and effective since I need prescription drugs such as birth control, thyroid gland and kidney medicine. I need a low cost plan for single,27. No dental really needed. Any idea which one would be good to look at for me?I reside in Jax Florida.

I had hyperthyroidism about 6 years ago I recieved a full thyroidectomy which means the removal of my thyroid gland. Every since i have had trouble growing my hair and keeping it healthy. I was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar situation and maybe had some suggestions for me. I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

My mom is a doctor and she suspects i might have a thyroid gland disorder. But with school and other things going on, we still haven’t had the chance to go to the hospital and get tested. So, im just wondering whether im just fat (altough i don’t know why since i exercise a lot and don’t really eat that much) or is it possible that the weight gain isn’t my fault and could be an effect of the thyroid gland disorder? :( ( Plz help…

My Mother has an over-active thyroid gland.

And now my Sister has one.

Should I be concerned about mine?
I’m male, if that changes anything.

I have high activity thyroid gland, i have bit bigger breast than your average guy, i heard that increase in size is caused by the thyroid gland. is it true and what can i do to make them smaller. (I’m already on medication to decrease my thyroid activity)

I need help understanding why they thyroid gland is considered to be the strongest gland in the endocrine system.

Canines, as well as people have a thyroid gland. When a dog’s thyroid is underactive it is referred to as "Hypothyroidism."

If you have been thru this with your pet, I am interested in knowing what sorts of symptoms your dog had and how the problem was resolved.

Does anyone know any vitamins or natural apart from exercise to increase the efficiency of the thyroid gland?
My cousin has a thyroid issue and was wondering if anyone knew any vitamins or natural herbs apart from exercise and prescribed medications tht would help?

Ya for example an experiment animal, we remove the thyroid gland. My "theory" is that, if TRH is produced from Hypothalamus and it makes the Hypofize (sorry if I spelled wrong in my language) produce TSH, that make Thyroid produce T3 and T4, but T3 and T4 influence in increase or decrease of TRH, then if we remove thyroid, the levels of TRH should be decreased until stopped. Which is the right answer?

What are 12 conditions and or diseases that happen in the thyroid gland that is related with the endocrine?

Do you have any expiriences?

I’m being treated for depression (zoloft) and I was told to examine my thyroid gland since it’s function has some effects on our mental state, i.e. can cause depression, or cause fast paced heart rate (which is common in panick atacks I guess..)…

Tomorrow I’m going to take the tests, and discuss them with my therapist probably the next week. So I’d like some feedback… I know those two are connected since thyroid is a gland and it’s hormons effect us in many ways, but I’d like to know some more specific information. What were your symptoms before you took the tests, what did you do if your tests for thyroid disfunction were positive, did the therapy improve your state etc…

Tnx!

I have had multinodular thyroid disease for many years. My thyroid gland works perfectly, but I have been monitored by various endocrinologists for years. I take Synthroid to get the nodules in check. However, in January, my tests (an ultrasound and a nuclear medicine scan) showed I now had 6 large fluid filled cold nodules. The Dr assured me they are benign. My Dr. increased my thyroid dosage for 6 months to see if there would be any improvement. I just had another ultrasound prior to my doctor’s appt next week & now I have 30-40 nodules. I have some difficulty swallowing, especially at night if I lay on my back, and my neck sometimes hurts. I am I know that the medical people are reluctant to remove a thyroid gland that works, but I am beginning to feel that maybe it is time for the surgery. I am 54 and in good health otherwise. Has anyone else had this situation? Do you think I should discuss this with the endocrinologist and maybe get a 2nd opinion?

My doctor recommends that I have my thyroid gland removed because of a benign but large cold nodule. I am physically very active and I am worried that the replacement thyroxine will make me tired and that it may have other side effects too. Anyone out there who has undergone through thyroid surgery before?
I would like doctors opinion but mostly patients sharing their personal experience.

My mom has had thyroid problems (it eventually had to be removed), and I would like to recognize any problems before they get too advanced, preferably without having to get a blood test every few months for it.

I know the thyroid gland regulates like temperature and mood, how could I isolate any problems caused by my thyroid?

when i was 13 i had one of my thyroid gland removed.

i think we have two thyroid glands and one of mine has being removed!

can anyone tell me what kind of side effects i could have with only ONE thyroid gland.

i think am getting less energy.

could you also tell me what kind of treatments i could have for thyroid deficiency?

What are the symptoms of defects in thyroid gland in adults?

I’m getting a blood test tomorrow for my thyroid gland and my doctor decided this after he diagnosed that I had a slight form of depression. Just wondering if the thyroid gland has anything to do with depression.

Oh and before you say anything to encourage me about blood tests, i’ve done it before, nearly passed out, but this time i’ll do fine with it.

I just had an ultrasound done today and my thyroid gland is 4.3cm. Is this normal or is it a little enlarged?

I know that if the thyroid gland isn’t functioning properly, people with diabetes find it difficult to manage their diabetes. Why is that?
