Because your symptoms are symptoms of thyroid disease.
"Social anxiety" could actually be just an excess of adrenaline, which can be caused by hyperthyroidism, which could be caused by a few thyroid diseases, the most common of which is Grave’s disease.
Depression is a symptom of both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.
